Week 36 - Kids are home with mum & Alf - parents in Italy:-)

Finally we are here in Vinchio, Italy - approx. 1,5 driving South West of Milano. A great place and perfect for relaxing with wine and good food together with fantastic friends. Can't be better?

Morten and Svein Terje outside the "old" part of the house. The part that has not yet been renovated. Morten & Janne has their own house in Italy with a huge hazelnut garden with many trees. They have a deal with one of their neighbour that he is picking the nuts, selling them, and give back 40 kilo with hazelnuts to the owner! :-) And here it is - this years salary! Very good fresh nuts.

A trip to the local supermarket - Fantastic varity of everything, and so delicious.

A good start on the day, breakfast with parma ham, omelett and bruchettas.

A relaxing day with the pool - Sun burned as usual.
Suncream is for "chickens" :-(

A visit to the local vineyard. 1,40 Euro per liter! :-) But do you think we drank from the tanks... Now, we travelled with a professional wine drinker - thats wy it was only bottles! :-) hihi - Even I notice the difference on some of the wines..... :-)

Local sparking wine for 4 Euro - And it tasted fantastic :-)

On Sunday we drove to see more of Italy. We visited one of the nearest villages Nicca Monferrato, We went to wine museum in Barolo, tasted wine, drowve to the cost and eat lunch in Finale Liguare and back to Vinchio through Alba, Barbaresco and Mombercelli. Fantastic trip! Back at the house around 21:00 in the evening Morten made some steaks with salad for us and we had once again a delicious meal with good wine! :-) I'm soaked! :-)

Thanks to Morgen & Janne for a great weekend, we would love to come back! :-) And thanks to mum and Alf for taking care of the kids! :-) Its great to be boyfriends sometimes! :-)
