Juhhhuuu, Family Polk has booked their tickets

to Norway! :-) So 25. of September they arrive at Sola. And they leave the 3. of October, the day after Kelly's birthday!

I wonder if we manage to convince family Kenna to come as well? :-)

Week 25 - Renovating of kitchen continues

So lucky that they've finally started the renovation.

From Saturday to Sunday we had 4 kids for sleepovers. It was very fun, but not a relaxed moment! :-)

St. Hans - Mid summer party at the beach

A fun afternoon at the beach. The weather was fantastic and we had a great afternoon by the beach barbequing with The Storhaug's and a lot of other friends and neighbours.

Mum and Lisa visited Emre and his family. They go together at kindergarten. It's going to be a competitor between Emre and Henrik, it's a difficult choise :-)

Lisa started nappy training this week, and yesterday we put a spreadsheet on the wall with possibilities to earn stamp each time she goes to the toilet. She was so happy when she managed one time in the morning. In the afternoon we went to inlaws for dinner and then she went to the toilet there as well. So proud! we then discussed that when we come home we could put one more stamp on the sheet to show that she made it twice today :-)...... Unfortunately it didn't look like she understood that, because she really felt she earned more than that! She actually got bananas, and did a whole week in advance! :-) Tried to explain, but its hard when your only 3 years old! :-)

Anna and Svein on tent trip to "Sokn"

Annas class had a year end camping trip to Sokn from Friday go Saturday this week. A great success for both kids and adults. Svein didn't sleep much during that night, so a bit grumpy on Saturday, but luckily when the redwine came on the table on Saturday evening everthing was forgotten! :-)

What a fantastic surprise! A package arrived on Friday with a partybag for Lisa and new episodes of "Grace Anatomy" to mum. Can it be better? :-) Thank you very much Ruth! :-)

Week 24 - Svein bought a new grasscutter

He was so proud when he came home from work on Thursday. He went to a shop and bought a new grass-cutter! With electric starter, and off course one of the most expensive one in the shop, he ended up with a John Deree! :-) There is only one bad thing about it..... he has to go back to the shop on Monday..... Hmm, don't tell anyone........ but its not working! :-( Sometimes it doesn't help if it cost a fortune! :-)

Week 24 - "Play city" at school

This week grade 1 to 4 had their annual "play city". They change the classroom to different things you need in a city and everyone goes around from place to place pretending its a city. They need to apply for a job, work and earn money, buy things at store, go to hairdresser, massage, etc. etc. Even if you're sick and need to go to a hospital you can do that as well. A cafe with good cakes baked by parents and even a Police station. The kids look forward to these 4 days the whole year! :-)

Lars worked at the cinema. He sold tickets and gave change, he really enjoyed the job.

Emils cat "Tussi" has got kittens

Emil was so proud when Tussi gave birth to 5 small kittens. All the kids were so exited, and we are off course the worse parents ever that do not say yes to one of them :-) They are cute when they are small, but they grow big one day as well..... So I'll except to be a bad parent! :-) I wonder what Emil will do with them?

Family Svenssen over for shrimps

We had a nice evening together, unfortunately we don't meet eachother that often, its a shame in this busy days.... It was good to eat shrimp again. Svein drove around the whole city to find, and luckily the last shop did still have some. Now the season has started :-)

Week 23 - Finishing Karate and visiting friends

Vi var på besøk hos Dina & Co. denne uka for å trene på kataen før vi skulle opp til gradering i Karaten. Heldigvis tok Gry en ekstra runde med meg, ellers hadde jeg vel aldri gått opp i gradene! :-) Så nå er det drakt til høsten og gul farge på beltet! :-) Jippy

Anna og Lars har fått nye "one piece" - Så fornøyde - Godt å ha ei snill mormor!

Sommeravslutning på karaten. Først trening på stranda, så bading med klærna på (for de som ville det) også var det pizza og brus.
