Annual tradition at Hommersåk

Normally we are staying in tent, but this year we decided to only go home in the evening instead. Too much to do at home! :-( Anyway, we had a very nice day, the kids enjoyed and we had a fun time! :-)

Playing volleyball :-)

Eating sweets and see television.

A nice beach only 10-15 minutes walk from the cabin.

Week 33 - Kitchen, kitchen, Kitchen :-)

It's a hectical period, I have to admit that. We are tired of renovation, and we cant wait to get our new kitchen back on track within 2-3 weeks! :-) We are getting close to the target, and inbetween we are trying to do something nice with the kids too! :-)

Kitchen on the first level, now we are waiting for the plummer and the counter.

They have started with the pizzaovn! :-)

So happy, they are finished! It cost a fortune, so we really, really hope its worth it! :-) Inside and outside! :-) Now we have to wait in 6 weeks for it to dry before we start using it. But we can't wait that long, when Fam. Polk comes, we just have to have pizza in it! :-)

Juhu, sun and summer time! :-)

For adults the sea was tooooo cold, but the kids enjoyed it! :-)

Can you beleive it, some hours with sun, we just had to go down to our local beach! :-)

Week 32 - Travelling to Sørskår to visit fam. Ydstebø

It's busy to stay on "Camp Sørskår" :-) We had to great days, and we enjoyed it so much that the kids didn't want to come home. They stayed one more day when Lisa and me went home again. Grandmum and Alf picked them up the day after, and they had a fantastic time at the cabin/villa.

Anna slept in Tent - Lars inside and breakfast (toast and egg/bacon) served in the bed! WOW

Lars and Kristian in his boat - Visiting grandmums old cabin. Very nice, its a shame we couldn't afford it some years ago..... :-(

Lisa on the boat - Eating fish and chips! Home fished fish, they really really ate good!

Pretending we are not there! :-) - Kristian and Lars playing inside!

Can't complain about the view :-)

Feeding the sheep :-)

Visiting the Iron Age Farm at Ullandhaug

A glimpse of everyday life in Norway 1500 years ago. The farm is a reconstructed farmstead from Migration period approx. AD 350-550. It is located 3 km from the centre of Stavanger with a fantastic view to North Jæren and Hafrsfjord where King Harald Fairhair fought the battle that united Norway into one kingdom round AD 900.

Dinner at "Moster's" house! :-)

We were so lucky, Lene invited all the workers down for dinner in the evening. A great evening with fantastic food and good company. Thanks Lene for organizing this! :-) Cant wait to finish the kitchen to invite back! :-)

Lasagne for the kids - Lene, a great chef! :-)

Mor, Alf, Svein Terje, Dad, Johnny and Lene! :-) Scallops for starter

Lamb for main "Jummy" - Mum made a very good banana cake! :-)

Kitchen renovation goes on........... :-)

Saturday morning Dad, Svein Terje and Alf started with laying tiles on the kitchen floor.

Cutting, cutting cutting :-) - Alf in action!

Getting closer :-) - Making the foundation to the pizzaowen! :-) This is going to be an expensive pizza thats for sure! :-)

Week 31 - Activities at home :-)

Dropping by Laland :-) Ingrid showing her rabbit and all the hens :-)

Johas has grown so much. Big boy now! :-)
